We listen, act, and transform
I have been working in the counseling field since 2002. I have experience working with adolescents, families, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy settings. I started working with adolescents at an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Spokane. I then moved to Tri-Cities and began working at a community mental health center working with individuals with mental health needs. I opened my private practice in 2016. I received my bachelor's degree in Social Work and my Chemical Dependency License from Eastern Washington University in 2004 and my Master's degree in Social Work from Eastern in 2006.
I have participated in several trainings to include Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention, drug and alcohol addictions. I work under a cognitive behavioral framework. I believe that short term (up to 6 months) of intense counseling works best for a successful outcome.
I believe that in order to have successful treatment, you have to practice what we discuss in session at home.
